WHY DRESSING UP IS IMPORTANT IN EARLY YEARS

corinna042

I LOVE a little dress up in our classes

I know you will already have lots of photos of your little one, and getting cute photos at Coco's Moo Music is just an extra bonus

BUT dressing up is not just for cute photos, there are many developmental benefits to dress up and role play!

DRESS UP & PRESCHOOL CURRICULUM

These are core elements of curriculum that nurseries follow which get children ready for school.

We consider dress up play a key part of your child’s learning, and the more we can foster their imaginations, the better!

EYESIGHT BUILDING 👀

Using bright colours, our masks & dress up are ideal for engaging & attracting your childs attention and will help their eyes focus, also if your wearing the mask they will follow your lead & they can practise eye tracking as you move around

ROLE PLAY

It's great for toddlers and pre-schoolers to explore role play and character development.

It helps them to understand the world around them and sets their imagination running, as they start to explore different roles and functions in society.

CONFIDENCE AND SELF-AWARENESS

It gives children the opportunity to build on their confidence.

They will become more self-aware as they practise different ways to present themselves, to understand and explore roles of authority or being a leader.

TEXTURES

They usually contain different fabrics, layers and textures, which is great sensory input for little fingers.
